Blenheim Palace, Cotswold countryside and River Evenlode circular
Details
A terrific 10.5 mile circular walk in the wonderful Cotswolds with some incredible scenery taking in the delightful grounds of Blenheim Palace that house the River Glyme and also the River Evenlode which we shall also walk along by for some of the afternoon.
We shall also visit the fabulous remains at North Leigh Roman Villa.
Please note that we shall not actually go inside Blenheim Palace.
We shall buy group train tickets at 10.15am for the train at 10.53am that arrives at Hanborough at 11.58am.
Train ticket : Hanborough return
Likely train back or at 6.14pm if we have a drink at the end.
We should be in time for the 5.19pm should anyone wish to take that train instead.
Things to bring : packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes/boots/ trainers.
You should be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour and have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity.
Meetup fee : £5 payable in cash or in advance by bank transfer.
