Wheathampstead Circular

A most beautiful and varied 11mile medium pace walk in the stunning Hertfordshire countryside and open woodland taking in the River Lea at times as we pass Brocket Hall en route plus Ayot Little Green.

We shall buy group return train tickets to Welwyn Garden City as from 9.45am for the train at 10.27am that arrives at Welwyn Garden City at 10.56am.

Train ticket : return to Welwyn Garden City

The walk shall commence at 11.05am.

Or you may decide to drive.

Please bring a packed lunch ( or eat in the pub ), water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes/boots or trainers.

Lunch shall be by The Bull pub in Wheathampstead.

Meetup fee : £5 payable in cash or in advance by bank transfer.

You should be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour and have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity.

We shall have a drink towards the end of the walk and we shall aim for the train at 5.21pm from Welwyn Garden City that arrives back at 5.51pm.
