Cuckmere River to Alfriston

An amazing 9 mile walk starting from Seaford as we walk along the coast to the delightful Cuckmere River - taking in a wonderful view of The White Horse - which we shall follow to the iconic beautiful village of Alfriston where we shall pop in to one of the historic pubs.

At Alfriston we shall then take the 125 bus to Lewes at 4.07pm and then trains back to London.

Please arrive by 9.15am to facilitate the purchase of group train tickets, or use your passes, for the train at 9.59am that arrives at Seaford at 11.48am after change of train at Haywards Heath and then again at Lewes.

We shall stop for public toilets before the walk commences.

Train ticket : return to Seaford

Meetup fee £5 payable in cash or in advance by bank transfer.

Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes/boots or trainers and suncream, sunhat and sunglasses.

You should be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour and have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity.
