What we’re about
In 1938, Harvard researchers embarked on a decades-long study to find out: What makes us happy in life?
The researchers gathered health records from 724 participants from all over the world and asked detailed questions about their lives at two-year intervals.
Contrary to what you might think, it’s not career achievement, money, exercise, or a healthy diet.
The most consistent finding they learned through 85 years of study is: Positive relationships keep us happier, healthier, and help us live longer.
Socializing, walking with others, shared meals, playing cards and games and attending events with others all contribute to our overall happiness index.
This group’s goal will be to host events that foster community and social connections.

Laumeier's Annual Art Fair is a three-day, outdoor event held over Mother's Day weekend.
This is an informational post - I have events all three days of this and I'm sorry to miss it! But I hope others in our club will get together and attend as it is a crowd-pleaser!
While there, take time to walk around the 105-acre site to view the many art installations. My favorite area is on the east side of the park.
The event features 158 juried artists from across the country, local food and beverage vendors, hands-on activities for kids, and live music all weekend long.
The Annual Art Fair provides crucial support for Laumeier’s mission and work in our community! Laumeier Sculpture Park is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates in partnership with St. Louis County Parks and Recreation, and they raise over $2 million annually to support their mission of engaging our community through art and nature.
Event proceeds make it possible for them to continue serving their 360,000 annual patrons with an outstanding sculpture collection, new artwork commissions, temporary exhibitions, education programs, public events, and more.
