Coast to Coast Walk Auckland approx 16kms
Details
This Sunday morning we will do the Coast to Coast hike across Auckland from Waitematā to Manukau harbour. We will start from Takutai Square and make our way through the city to the Auckland domain, up to Mt. Eden (Maungakiekie) and through Cornwall Park ending at the Onehunga Bay Reserve. This walk is a bit longer than our usual walks and hilly in places. Therefore, a good level of fitness is required. Afterwards we will make our way to the Onehunga train station to catch a train back. There is also an option to take buses back to the city from the Onehunga transport centre.
What to bring:
Sun and rain protection, optional extra layer in case it gets cold en route.
Plenty of water and lunch
Sturdy closed shoes with a good grip
Something to sit on for lunch stop (optional)
Members only, no children, pets, smoking or vaping
You're welcome to make a voluntary donation to help cover the fees we pay meetup...If you would like to make a donation please make it by online banking rather than cash.

Communication: We are aiming to have minimal posts on the discussion feed so that people read any important leader posts re events. If you need to change your RSVP just change via the RSVP system or message the group organiser directly. After a walk that you've attended, you’re welcome to post a few general comments, but please keep these brief. Do not post any personal details or referrals to personal details such as phone numbers, facebook links or email addresses. Thanks :)

Meetup groups like this one are run by volunteers who would like to relax and enjoy the event as much as other participants. As such we expect everyone to take responsibility for themselves as we are not liable for any personal loss or injury at any event. By RSVP ing "Yes" you accept that you have read all the details of the trip and that you participate at your own risk. Therefore for your own safety and enjoyment and that of others please do not sign up for an event unless you know that your abilities are well within the level of fitness and agility required for it.
If you want to bring a friend to an event they need to sign up to this group so that they have the same understanding as above. Also there are limited spaces for our trips and so many members, so we have a policy that only members can come.
Sorry no children, pets or smoking
