HIKING TRIP IN LA AXARQUÍA, MÁLAGA 🌄 - (5th - 8th DEC long weekend)

Join this 4-day, 3-night hiking trip in La Axarquía, Málaga. Explore authentic White Villages, hike to panoramic viewpoints like Cerro Verde, and stay in a charming rural hotel. Immerse yourself in the history and stunning nature of the Sierra de Almijara!
Day 1: The White Villages Route (December 5th)
Our journey begins from Torre del Mar Bust Station at 12:00. We will transfer to Canillas de Albaida and check-in at the charming rural hotel, followed by a welcome lunch. In the afternoon, we immerse ourselves in the history of La Axarquía by enjoying the White Villages Route. This is a delightful tour of the region's unique 3 whitewashed towns—a vibrant historical legacy of the Muslim presence on the Iberian Peninsula.
📏 Distance: ∼8 km
🚩Difficulty: Easy
⛰️ Total ascent: ∼ 200 meters +/-
Day 2: Cerro Verde - Reaching the Heights (December 6th)
After breakfast, we set off at 9:00 a.m. for the main hiking challenge: the Cerro Verde Route. Our path initially follows a scenic river creek, where we’ll encounter traditional farmhouses and steadily we´ll gain elevation until reaching the summit of Cerro Verde. From this peak, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views across the entire Tejeda and Almijara mountain ranges. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed along the way, leaving the afternoon free for relaxation.
📏 Distance: ∼11.5 km
🚩Difficulty: Moderate
⛰️ Total ascent: ∼ 700 meters +/-
Day 3: The Hidden Village of El Acebuchal (December 7th)
Following breakfast, we embark on a hike towards the beautifully restored, lost village of El Acebuchal. This route takes us deep into the heart of the Sierra de Almijara, exploring the stunning surroundings of the Upper Basin of the Higuerón River and walking at the foot of the range´s most majestic mountains. We will conclude this hike with an optional lunch at the renowned El Acebuchal Restaurant.
📏 Distance: ∼10 km
🚩Difficulty: Moderate
⛰️ Total ascent: ∼ 550 meters +/-
Day 4: Departure (December 8th)
After a final breakfast, the departure and transfer time to Torre del Mar Bust Station will be arranged according to the group
Price: ONLY 295€ / couples 275€xp
What´s included?:
- Transfer from Torre del Mar to the venue (go and return) and transfer to the activities.

🚍Transport from Málaga City
From María Zambrano station and also from Muelle 1 (the port area), there are regular buses (every 30 min) to Torre del Mar operated by the company ALSA
