Join us for a fun night of socialising, mass speed dating and dancing at The Refinery in Regents Place - a very funky bar with an outside, seated terrace. People mix very well here. We will also be using an old favourite DJ who gets the party hopping and not the new one who worked at the December event again.
Tickets £15.95.
Price includes Introductions at the bar 7pm, the mass speed dating social circle ice-breaker at 7.45pm and then the party with DJ until Midnight.
If you do not manage to exchange numbers on the night with anyone you like you can send a text for the person saying something to remind them who you are and adding your name with mobile at the end of the message. You only need to remember a first name and an area they come from would be helpful as makes it easy to trace who you would like us to forward the message to. Many attending our events take advantage of this service after our events.
It is never only the people you see posting from this Meet Up group. Our events are promoted on 8 Meet Up groups (including this one), Skiddle, Event Brite, All Events, Design My Night, Facebook and Google. Contact Singles has been going since 1994 and takes over exclusive use of the venue where everyone attending has confirmed home address and mobile with their booking. This maintains a safe environment for people to meet and is the condition under which the venues are hired. The venues prefer that everyone is registered from a security aspect.
VENUE LAYOUT
The bar is very open and spacious with a very relaxed feel.
AGE RANGE
We have members more from late 20s/early 30s to much older but would say that the majority are from 35 - 55.
FEMALE NETWORKING
If female and coming alone, we can put you in touch with other ladies booked who are also coming alone and would like to hear from you. Ladies find this more encouraging as it is a great way to make new single friends. We are also saying that single ladies can turn up at 6.45pm to meet in the function room a bit earlier for us to introduce them. We send the list of contacts a couple of weeks prior to the event so you can all chat beforehand.
DRESS CODE
Smart jeans are ok but we ask for smart shirt and smart shoes guys rather than t shirts and trainers as the ladies always make the effort.
