Summer Sunset Hike at Miossi Open Preserve

Heya hikers. Due to a scheduling conflict I won't be in town around the solstice, so this summer we’re pushing our quarterly sunset hike back a few weeks.

But it’s the same idea: Our planned route takes the Panorama and Rollercoaster trails at Miossi Preserve. On a clear day you can enjoy the sweeping view from Reservoir Canyon to Morro Rock. Plans depend on the weather, and I’ll let you know if something changes.

⚠️ Be careful when turning onto and off of Stagecoach Road, as some drivers take speed limits as suggestions when descending the grade.

• Terrain: Steep in places, steady incline/decline in others
• Pace: Moderate
• Duration: ~2 hours
• Distance: ~3.6 miles out and back, ~800’ elevation gain
• Trail map: Gaia GPS
