Join us for am 8 mile easy/intermediate, coastal hike located on the northern end of PG&E property which is accessed through Montaña de Oro State Park. It has a diverse terrain with areas along steep cliffs and coastal bluffs, with narrow dirt trails, steep grades (up to 21% grade, 300-foot elevation change) and crumbling earth.

The time is about 3-4 hours. Bring your camera! Point Buchon Trail offers some of the most scenic views of the Central Coast coastline, perfectly preserved and protected and is known for its panoramic views of beautiful headlands and off-shore sea stacks.

To reach the trailhead enter Montana de Oro State Park, drive past the Spooner Ranch House and follow the road to "end" at the Coon Creek parking lot. Once we enter the PG & E grounds we all have to sign in at the PG&E kiosk. There are NO dogs allowed.
