Our hike starts on the north end of Discovery Trail where we will hike up, up, up, the Panhandle Trail. Once at the top, we hope to have sweeping ocean views, unless the weather brings us late afternoon fog. This will be an out and back trail, less than 5 miles, with an elevation gain of about 900 feet. Link to trail status via the Pismo Preserve's Instagram acct.

⚠️ Rain cancels the hike. We'll keep you posted.
⚠️️ There's a new parking fee. LCSLO, the nonprofit that maintains Pismo Preserve, charges $5 per car (or $50 for an annual pass). Pay at the kiosk or with the ParkMobile app. You can also park for free across the highway on Price St, less than 10 minutes away on foot. Arrive early to find parking.
