Afternoon Hike - Johnson Ranch Loop

Join us for an afternoon hike on the beautiful Johnson Ranch loop trail which is comprised of rolling grassy hills, serpentine rocks, oak trees and some moderately challenging ascents and descents. There can be loose gravel on the trail, so shoes with good tread are recommended.
The Johnson Ranch Open Space comprises 242 acres of old ranch land just south of San Luis Obispo.
Essentials
- Distance: Approx. 2.5 miles (single loop)
- Elevation: less than 500 feet
- Pace: moderate to brisk
- Due to the ever changing microclimate, layers recommended
- Bring water, sun protection, shoes with good tread
- Please arrive early to find parking
- Please be aware that ticks and poison oak are prevalent.
