Challenging Hike In Irish Hills!

Let's hike Irish Hills!
Saturday October 17th at 8am sharp! We'll be hiking Sterling, Mariposa and Morro View trails in an out and back 4+ mile challenging hike.

Where: Irish Hills Open Space, Sterling Trailhead on Royal Way & Sterling Lane (do NOT park on Sterling Lane).
When: Saturday Oct 17th. Boots on the trail at 8am sharp.
Duration: about 2.5 hours
Mileage: 4+ miles
Elevation gain: ~800ft
Terrain: Difficult and challenging due to steep climbs and loose rocky sections.
Skill level: Difficult/Strenuous.
Warnings: ticks and mountain bikers in abundance.

What to bring:
*Sturdy 🥾 hiking footwear
*Hiking poles (strongly recommended)
*Water
*Sun protection
*Optional snack
*A sense of adventure!

In the 1st .75 mile we'll be climbing up most of the 800 ft elevation gain on mostly paved road. Then we continue on the dirt trail which is mostly covered in loose rocks. The return hike is just as challenging but we promise the view is worth it!
*Dogs are allowed on the trails however the ticks are in abundance so please take caution.
