Weekly Buddhist Meditation Service, Topic: Humility, Wonder, & Compassion
Details
Tonight, we will be having a very special guest teacher: my teacher, Joe Brtalik. I'm biased, but I really think you should come to this one—Joe is really special.
A little about Joe: Joe Brtalik is an expert in systems thinking, authentic communications, and developing a "learner's mind." Joe's training is not Buddhist: he studied for many years with Peter Senge and Fred Kofman, and has presented and coached leaders at companies such as IBM, General Motors, Johnson & Johnson, Verizon and many others.
I was very fortunate to meet Joe at IBM over 25 years ago and—no joke—he changed everything for me. There is no Buddhist teacher, Mike Travisano or weekly mindfulness meetup, without Joe Brtalik. I am very grateful for his mind-expanding ideas and the beautiful way he is able to communicate them.
What's Joe going to talk about? I don't know. I told him to talk about whatever he wants. It's really special to me that he is joining us, and I have no doubt that you will find our time valuable. Our time will be interactive, fun, and no doubt impactful.
Join us each Monday evening at 6:30pm at Central Penn College, Room 204 in the ATEC building, for a weekly Buddhist meditation service as we seek to find peace in our hearts, connect with the world around us, and discover meaning during challenging times.
Each service includes a period of meditation followed by a talk and discussion on a teaching of the Buddha.
Open to all faiths and backgrounds, join us as we come together in celebration of inner peace, loving-kindness, joy, and compassion.
