Weekly Buddhist Meditation Service, Topic: Authenticity
Details
What is my authentic self? What does it mean to be authentic? What does it mean to be me? For myself, I have found that I've never regretted moments that felt authentic to me (or when I felt authentic), yet it can be very difficult to "act authentically" naturally. This week, we'll discuss the idea of authenticity from a Zen perspective and explore a model that can help in identifying the path I tend to take when I'm not authentic.
FYI, these days, we have about 15-20 people who join us, many of whom do not RSVP here. I hope you'll join us.
Join us each Monday evening at 6:30pm at Central Penn College, Room 204 in the ATEC building, for a weekly Buddhist meditation service as we seek to find peace in our hearts, connect with the world around us, and discover meaning during challenging times.
Each service includes a period of meditation followed by a talk and discussion on a teaching of the Buddha.
Open to all faiths and backgrounds, join us as we come together in celebration of inner peace, loving-kindness, joy, and compassion.
