Tonight, we'll explore how suffering tends to show itself (from a Buddhist perspective). Specifically, we'll look at the three main ways–or strategies–that suffering tends to show itself when I'm experiencing a mental or emotional state that I would not (or did not) choose. Looking at these "strategies" mindfully can be very helpful in understanding how my (very human) brain tries to make sense of the world, and can provide a path for both normalizing how suffering manifests in our lives, for understanding how it shows itself in others, and for opening doorways to acceptance and peace.

Join us each Monday evening at 6:30pm at Central Penn College, Room 204 in the ATEC building, for a weekly Buddhist meditation service as we seek to find peace in our hearts, connect with the world around us, and discover meaning during challenging times.

Each service includes a period of meditation followed by a talk and discussion on a teaching of the Buddha.

Open to all faiths and backgrounds, join us as we come together in celebration of inner peace, loving-kindness, joy, and compassion.
