Tonight, we'll tackle mindfully working with self-criticism and self-judgment. I very often ask groups and clients to rate the quality of their inner voice from 1-10, and rarely do I hear a number over 4. Living with a critical (or even hateful) "inner roommate" can make life feel heavy and even awful, keeping us from joy, lightness, and peace. Tonight, we'll explore some psychological models that can help explain (and normalize) why this is the case, and look at some thought experiments and practices that can help.

Join us each Monday evening at 6:30pm at Central Penn College, Room 204 in the ATEC building, for a weekly Buddhist meditation service as we seek to find peace in our hearts, connect with the world around us, and discover meaning during challenging times.

Each service includes a period of meditation followed by a talk and discussion on a teaching of the Buddha.

Open to all faiths and backgrounds, join us as we come together in celebration of inner peace, loving-kindness, joy, and compassion.
