Start with a whirlwind tour that includes Athens, Olympia, Delphi, and Meteora, then slow down to savor two of the most iconic Greek islands in the Aegean. Cross the canal and visit ancient Corinth.
Guided visit of the excavations and museum of Mycenae
Guided visit to the 2,300-year-old open-air auditorium in Epidaurus

9/16 NAUPLIA–OLYMPIA

Scenic drive through the Arkadian Mountains
Olympia guided visit the archaeological site and museum
Attend cooking demonstration to learn how to make traditional Greek tzatziki (a mix of yogurt, cucumbers, garlic, salt, olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, and herbs such as dill, mint, parsley, and thyme)

9/17 OLYMPIA–PATRAS–DELPHI
DELPHI guided visit to the excavations & Archaeological Museum
Learn how to dance the sirtaki (think Zorba the Greek) This passionate and dramatic dance goes very well with a glass of ouzo, the anice-infused drink the locals are so fond of.

9/18 DELPHI–METEORA AREA
Drive past Lamia and Trikala en route to Kalambaka.
METEORA Guided visit of the Varlaam and St. Stephen’s Monasteries. Perched atop soaring huge cliffs are the monasteries of Meteora, of which six are still active.

9/19 METEORA AREA–THERMOPYLAE–ATHENS
THERMOPYLAE Stop at the battle site.
ATHENS Free time late afternoon

9/20 ATHENS–PIRAEUS/RAFINA–MYKONOS
Scenic ferry crossing to Mykonos MYKONOS Walking tour to Church of Agia Kiriaki Amygdalota (traditional Greek almond cookie) tasting
Dinner at a local restaurant

9/21 MYKONOS - LEISURE DAY!
OPTIONAL EXCURSION TO DELOS the nearby island and birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, Its magnificent archaeological site may only be visited

High-speed express ferry to Santorini

After a dinner of traditional specialties head to one of the island’s viewpoints to catch a Santorini sunset.
