See "The Holy Mountain" at Home & See "Doggiewogiez! Poochiewoochiez!" Together

Details

I'd like to try something different for this one. Here's what you'll have to do:

  1. Watch the ne plus ultra of weird movies, "The Holy Mountain," on your own.
  2. Come to the library on June 22 and watch "Doggiewogiez! Poochiewoochiez!" as a group.
  3. Then we'll all discuss both movies.

See, "Doggiewogiez! Poochiewoochiez!" is a 55-minute remake of "The Holy Mountain" made of clips from movies and TV shows about dogs. It doesn't make much sense, but it makes even less sense if you haven't recently seen "The Holy Mountain."

I'll get to the library at 1:30 p.m. and try to set everything up in time for a 2 p.m. start. Get there early so you don't miss a minute. The library closes at 5, so we'll have to wrap up discussion before then.

It's all free. We'll be in the Andy Boss Community Room on the 4th floor of the George Latimer Public Library in downtown St. Paul.

Street parking is free on Sundays, but it can still be hard to find parking sometimes. You might consider using the light rail. A great place to park and ride is the Western Avenue stop of the green line. There's always parking on Aurora Avenue, one street south of University.

And feel free to sitemail me to recommend another movie for a future meeting. You can go by the official list from the website 366 Weird Movies (366 Weird Movies + Apocrypha: streaming info last updated 5/24/21 - Google Sheets) or suggest something else.
