About us

Building the new world in the shell of the old. 🌿✨
This is a space for womxn and LGBTQIA+ folks who are ready to step away from the screen and start cultivating the "After." As the old systems shift, we’re coming together to build a community rooted in radical self-sufficiency, collective care, and joy.

Whether we’re talking about the collapse of the status quo or the birth of a more sustainable, equitable future, this group is about actionable hope. We are here to bridge the gap between "survival" and "thriving" through a blend of hard skills, soft rituals, and genuine connection.

What We Do:
• Solarpunk Initiatives: Exploring off-grid living, sustainable tech, and building local systems that actually work for us.
• Skill-Sharing & Earth Work: From getting our hands dirty with gardening to sharing "homesteading" hacks for the modern world.
• The Sacred & The Witchy: Practicing ritual, exploring spirituality, and honoring our intuition as a compass for the future.
• Movement & Training: Group sport, weightlifting, and dance meet-ups to keep our bodies strong and resilient.
• Business & Sovereignty: Networking with a purpose. Let’s talk marketing, finances, and navigating career transitions or remote work to gain more freedom.
• Creative Resistance: Art-making, collage, and crafts—because a revolution without art isn't worth having.
The Soft Stuff (Life Offline):
Community isn't just about the "work"; it’s about the pleasure of being together. Expect plenty of:
• Potlucks & Meal Prepping: Strictly plant-based/vegan-friendly eats (we love a high-protein whole-food moment).
• Outings: Botanical garden strolls, picnics, and "active" fun like Activate at American Dream.
• Nourishment: Whether it’s eating out at local gems or hosting cozy nights in, we’re here for the food and the conversation.
Our Values:
This is a Safe Space. We are building a matriarchal foundation—one where we prioritize collaboration over competition and offline relationships over digital noise.
Let’s build the future we want to live in, one meetup at a time. ---
What should we tackle first: a garden planning session, a business networking brunch, or a group ritual under the next full moon?

🫛🧿 Belated Earth Day Meetup: Vegan Banh Mis & Garden Dreaming

Maplewood, NJ 07040, Maplewood, Ne, US

When: Thursday, April 23rd @ 4:15 PM
Where: Baker Street Market (Maplewood)
The Vibe: Low-key, sustainable, and community-focused.

They say Earth Day is every day, but since Mother Nature is bringing rain for the actual holiday, we’re celebrating on Thursday to take advantage of that beautiful 72-degree forecast!

As a local teacher, I’ll be heading over straight from school to arrive around 4:15 PM. We’ll be grabbing the Vegan Banh Market Sandwiches—the locally produced tofu and "insane" Fly by Jing sauce are legendary.

The Plan
• 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Grab & Gather. Pick up your food (see the "Pro-Tip" below!) and meet us out front— we’ll head to a nearby shady spot to touch grass and enjoy the fresh air (Update: we can sit in the market if there is seating or while we wait for others).
• 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Eat & Chat. We’ll be discussing organic garden planning, urban agriculture insights, and Solarpunk inspiration (think: a future where nature and community-led tech live in harmony).
• 5:00 PM – 5:15 PM: Digestive Stroll. A quick 10-minute walk through the neighborhood to enjoy the afternoon sun before heading home.

Know Before You Go
• 🚀 Order Ahead: To make sure we have maximum park time, try to place your order online by 3:45 PM or 4:00 PM. This helps avoid the post-school rush!
• 🧺 Comfort: Since we'll be eating outdoors, feel free to bring a picnic blanket or a portable camp chair so you can relax comfortably under the trees.
• 🅿️ Parking: Give yourself a few extra minutes for parking, as the Village area can get busy during the late-afternoon commute.

Why Join Us?

If you’re interested in edible landscapes, sustainable living, or just meeting neighbors who prefer "process over product," this is for you. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just curious about where to plant your first fruit tree, let’s talk!

RSVP: Drop a "🌱" in the comments if you’re coming, and let us know one thing you’re hoping to grow (or hoping to keep alive!) this year. I'll look out for you! 🥕🥖✨
