What we’re about
This is a brand new book club for people who identify as women who love great books, meaningful conversation, and being in community with other people who genuinely support one another.
We’ll meet once a month for one hour in Westlake to discuss a shared read—mostly fiction with strong female perspectives, romance that isn’t (all) fluff, and the occasional thought-provoking nonfiction. Since we’re just getting started, the goal right now is simply to gather a great group and let the club evolve naturally from there.
Meetings will be casual and cozy, with snacks and wine provided. Dogs will be present, so you must love (or at least happily coexist with) them.
This is a space for:
• People who believe love is love, Black lives matter, no human is illegal, science is real, and women’s rights are human rights
• Girl’s girls who root for the success of other women and nonbinary people
• Respectful, thoughtful discussion (no gatekeeping, no judgment)
• Connection over perfection—you don’t have to finish every book or offer exclusively profound thoughts to belong
