Well Read Sistas Inc. is more than a book club—it’s a supportive and empowering community for Black women. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we promote the personal and professional development of Black women through intentional self-love, connection, and growth.
Welcome to Well Read Sistas Inc. We celebrate the voices of Black women by exclusively reading books by Black women authors. If you’re a Black woman passionate about literature and engaging discussions, this is your space to connect, thrive, and grow. For over seven years, we’ve been a consistent “home base” for Black women to explore powerful stories and uplift one another.
Our Mission: We nurture the personal and professional development of Black women, building a strong, supportive network that inspires every Well Read Sista to reach her full potential.
What We Offer:
- Monthly Book Club: Enriching discussions that promote literacy and celebrate Black voices.
- Behind the Pages Events: Intimate conversations with authors of the books we read.
- Sis, You Good?!: Weekly wellness check-ins providing a safe space for reflection and connection.
- Professional Development Initiatives: Affordable resources like Headshot Day, resume advice, and job readiness training.
