Curious about AI-powered coding? Join us for a hands-on GitHub Dev Days workshop and learn how to use GitHub Copilot CLI to build, improve, and ship a project directly from your terminal.

GitHub Dev Days is a global, community-led initiative bringing developers together to explore AI-assisted software development with GitHub Copilot. This time, we'll get hands-on with GitHub Copilot CLI and work through a guided workshop together.

What we'll do
We'll explore how to:

• Build and refine an application using natural language prompts.
• Use /init to create project instructions and give Copilot better context.
• Work with GitHub issues and run multiple sessions in parallel.
• Plan changes before implementing them.
• Review code changes and manage context effectively.
• Create and merge pull requests without leaving the terminal.
• Explore agentic workflows and delegate tasks to AI agents.

This is a practical, follow-along workshop. Bring your laptop and be ready to experiment!

What to bring

• A laptop with a working internet connection.
• A GitHub account with access to GitHub Copilot.
• GitHub Copilot CLI installed and ready to use, if possible.

Disclaimer: this event utilizes AI credits. While the workshops can be completed with Copilot Free, it will take up a large amount of those credits, so ensure you're preserving where makes sense knowing you'll be attending this event.
