Developing mobile apps with PhoneGap, jQuery Mobile and Dreamweaver "next"

Users and clients are more and more asking for apps. The open-source PhoneGap framework (http://phonegap.com/) allows one to build mobile apps based on HTML, CSS and Javascript. PhoneGap provides a set of APIs that hook into device APIs and delivers a mechanism to compile/bundle your HTML-based application into a native application wrapper.

Richard will show us how to build those apps using the next version of Dreamweaver and jQuery Mobile (http://jquerymobile.com/) as a development framework providing a consistent look&feel and fallback mechanisms across devices.

About Richard:

Richard Turner-Jones works for Adobe across Australia and New Zealand as a Solutions Consultant.

Before joining Adobe, he provided training in various technologies (Flash, Flex, Javascript, ColdFusion and the Creative Suites), as well as development services for server and client-side platforms and languages (e.g., PHP, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, XML and CSS).

He's a long-time supporter of the Adobe community, managing the Brisbane Flash Platform Group and Brisbane Creative Suite Group. His last visit to Wellington was for Creative Camp 2011 where he presented on Adobe Firework for Developers.
