The Secret History

This month the Wellington Modern Classics Book Club is reading The Secret History by Donna Tartt, a story of obsession, friendship, beauty, and moral collapse.

Set among a small group of elite classics students at a New England college, the novel begins with a murder and then unravels the events that led to it. Atmospheric, intelligent, and deeply compelling, The Secret History explores the allure of belonging, the dangers of idealism, and the thin line between admiration and corruption.
