Hey folks,

We are going to hike on Te Whiti Riser Track this Sunday. A popular all-weather walking and mountain biking track overlooking Wainuiomata and Lower Hutt.

We will meet at 10am in Te Whiti Park, and then follow the trail guild of https://www.wellingtonnz.com/visit/trails/te-whiti-riser to explore the area.

After the hiking, we probably will go to Lower Hutt center to have lunch and refreshment.

This trip will only go ahead in nice weather and if there hasn't been too much rain in the days beforehand.

If you are unwell, please stay home and get better!!!!

***HIKE DIFFICULTY***
-- Roughly 7km, 450 meters elevation, 2 ~ 3 hours hiking.
-- The tracks are mostly well formed, some sections very be very steep, rough or muddy. Clearly signposted.
-- Attendance to this event is purely at your own risk. The track is listed as being easy/Intermediate. It is not too hard to handle and the view is worth it.

***WHAT TO BRING***
Non-slip boots!
Water/Wind resistant jacket!!
Sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses
Water!!
Snacks!

***LOCATION & TRANSPORT***
- 10:00 am, in Te Whiti Park.
- Can do pickups from Jvl train station at 9:30am if requested, else organise selves

***PSVP***
Usually maximum 12 hikers. Please join the waiting list if it's full. Someone may drop off in last day.
Just a reminder if you are unable to make the walk anymore please ensure you update your rsvp so others can join.

No show policy: If you are listed as 'Going' and do not turn up, a 'No Show' will be recorded against your name. Three 'No Shows' and you will not welcome to join any hiking events in future.
