Data Ops and Coaching Kiwis

Details
We are hosted by Robert Walters (please txt Natasha Keith on 0274246268 if you find the lifts closed after 6pm)
The talks are:
Steven Ensslen - DataOps
Most organisations think that they have poor data quality, but don’t know how to measure it or what to do about it. Teams of data scientists, analysts, and ETL developers are either blindly taking a “garbage in -> garbage out” approach, or worse still, “cleansing” data to fit their limited perspectives. DataOps is a systematic approach to measuring data and for planning mitigations for bad data.
Shane Gibson - DataOps vs DevOps
Is DataOps just a rebranding of proven DevOps practises by data and analytics team who have spent years in the ad-hoc wilderness, or is it something that has more substance?
Allen Geer - Lessons Learned Teaching DevOps to Kiwis
Over the last two years, I've have been involved in delivering DevOps training to over 300 Kiwi's across New Zealand Organisations, large and small, nationwide. This effort has provided quite a bit of learning about how to teach DevOps effectively to Kiwi organisations. In this talk, I will share some key insights into developing and delivering DevOps training and cover some of the challenges in making DevOps training an effective piece of a transformation initiative.
