Ackama Talks: Drupal platform hosting, Pitching Drupal CMS to Clients

This event will be hosted by Ackama at their Terrace offices as part of the wider effort to run the Drupal Wellington meetups. The audience for this meetup is open to everyone interested in Drupal/PHP or content management systems, whether you're an enthusiast or curious.

The format will be casual and there will be plenty of time for discussion. We will be covering two talks.

Gareth Jones our Head of Platforms is going to present our hosting preference for Pantheon and share the history and rationale that we have established this PAAS as our first preference for customers. We will refer to some of the clients' differing needs and why we endorse the platform to maintain our high standards or security and resilience.

Then Josh Forde is going to talk (briefly) about our efforts to present and pitch Drupal as a CMS as Ackama works in a range of software contexts. We all need to sell our clients on the diverse benefits and help them understand their options. We expect this leads to some open discussion so feel free to bring any questions or share experiences.
