What we’re about
This is a group for ladies of all ages who want to make new friends and have adventures in Wellington and the surrounding areas.
You are welcome to suggest events and activities you are interested in that we could do as a group. If you are interested in becoming a co-host or leader contact Janine.
We are keen to do the normal activities such as; wineries; cocktails; dinners; beach walks; book club; celebrating international woman’s day; Wellington on a Plate etc. However we also want to get out and about and be intrepid and explore some of the lesser visited areas, such as; tramping overnight; day hikes; 4x4 trips; skiing; snowboarding; mountain bike rides; lighthouse bagging (seeing as many lighthouses as you can); camping; hut bagging (https://hutbagger.co.nz/); kayaking; clay pigeon shooting etc.
Janine is the lead for this group and is intrepid herself and recently walked the 3,000km Te Araroa trail in New Zealand from Cape Reinga to Bluff taking her 5 months to complete. https://www.teararoa.org.nz/ She has visited all continents and over 80 countries and is keen for more adventures.
