About us
This group is for anyone interested in supporting the vibrant Wellington live music scene. We started with jazz gigs but now include blues, soul, and funk bands since they are all musically related, plus reggae 'cos I like it.
If you are keen on a gig, RSVP, and look out for other members. Having someone to sit with can make the evening more social.
One final point. Most people are there to listen to the performer, so please hold your chat until a break in the music.

The Mat Enright Blues Band - Take 2!
Lynott's Irish Bar, 21 Blair Street, Te Aro, Wellington, NZThis act was so popular when they played back in February, that we had to bring them back as soon as we could.
From small town Avalon Mississippi to big city New Orleans, songs from Mississippi John hurt, Elizabeth Cotten, John Lee Hooker and more, from piedmont, to folk, and straight up blues, the no drum quartet will bring you some absolute gems of the genres, played by artists dedicated to authentic representations of the forms. Will be a lot of fun and easy on the ears.
Mike Duffy on bass, Jeremy Desmond, guitar, Neil Billington, harmonica, with Mat Enright on guitar and vocals. What! No drummer? Yep, this is a Piedmont style of blues so come and enjoy something different.Tickets are $20 or $10 for members, and there is a 10% member discount at the bar.
