Sunday Jazz - Chris Fox's 'Brother To Brother'

In early 2024 Chris Fox spoke with his late brother, Rodger Fox, about doing a recording with the two of them playing some tunes Anita Schwabe and he had written. They had a couple of preliminary discussions prior to Rodger's death in May 2024, so after some thought it was decided to continue with the project and do it as a tribute to Rodger hence the title, Brother to Brother.

To continue the two-trombone vibe, Kaito Walley was invited to play in Rodger’s place.
The recording was completed in one day in a live setting and whilst there is an element of rawness to the recording the intent and spirit is very much evident.

The band will play the full album plus a few other numbers at the Rogue and Vagabond on Sunday, May 11 from 5pm to 7pm.

A few CDs will be available on the day on a koha basis.
