Microsoft has quietly released two powerful open‑source projects that sit right at the centre of this shift: Dataverse Skills and Power Platform Skills. These repositories show how agentic logic is meant to be built and reused across the platform, giving us practical patterns straight from Microsoft’s engineering teams.
Gone are the days of wiring everything together manually. Agentic development is now front and centre, and these projects demonstrate how Microsoft is enabling it and how we can adopt the same approach in our environments.
In this session, we will walk through both skill projects, explain how the runtimes work, and show how they connect with MCP servers to deliver agentic behaviour across Dataverse and the wider platform. We will also demonstrate the skills in action so you can see how they operate end to end.
