Beginner ride at Makara Peak. Saturday 5th October. 9.30

BEGINNER RIDE

This ride is suitable for beginnners on standard or electric bikes. You need to be confident riding your bike and ready to ride single tracks with gentle climbs and easily avoidable obstacles such as rocks and potholes.

The ride is completely on Grade 2 trails except the optional Swigg which is Grade 3

Leaving at 9.30.

We’ll be riding up Koru to the picnic table, doing a loop of Magic Carpet back to the picnic table. Then Miro and Rimu and back to the picnic table
We will return to the carpak via Lazy Fern or some may like to go down Swigg.

I am bringing my 13 yr nephew along so feel free to bring any other keen young people.

Please ensure you have the right equipment for the ride:

• A well maintained mountain bike , with MTB tyres
• Helmet
• Bike gloves
• Spare tube, tube repair kit, pump and basic bike tools
• First aid kit
• Water
