Fit beginers/ Intermediate- Totara Park around into Tunnel Gully & return

Come along and enjoy a bike ride.
Fitter beginners / Intermediate - all mountain bike types
We will meet at Totara Park, Upper Hutt for a 9:30 am start and cycle up the Hutt River Trail to Te-Marua Lakes, (See mountain biking options below) cross through into Tunnel Gully, back to Te-Marua and returning the same route but via Bridge Road into Totara Park.

This ride is mainly on shingle access roads but there several options for mountain biking trails. Depending on the groups skill level we will ride up the Kaitoke Pylon Track, Back to the Flow, Flow K , Half flow and once we are under the motor way cycle up 2 Bee Line and down Taniwha. Finishing off with one of the pigs.
Of course this is all weather dependent as the tracks get very slippery in the rain.

Both traditional and E bikes are welcome.
We always cycle as fast as the slowest rider and some of the tracks we will be on, are shared with dogs, walkers and other cyclists.

You will need:
A well-maintained bike with MTB tyres.

• Helmet.
• Bike gloves.
• Spare tube, tube repair kit, pump and basic bike tools.
• Lights if a night ride/ tunnels
• First aid kit.
• Water /snacks.

The Meeting Details: Left off SH2 onto Totara Park Rd and first right on to Awakairangi Park Rd to the car park.
