Letting Go: Practical Tools from Buddhist Psychotherapy

Details
We often hear that mindfulness means "letting go" of difficult thoughts—but what does that actually mean? In this interactive session, we'll explore what really helps when you're stuck in unhelpful thinking. Drawing on personal experience, meditation, and modern psychology, we'll uncover grounded, practical ways to use presence, acceptance, and letting go—both on the cushion and in everyday life.
We'll also be meditating together as a group. Everyone is welcome, even if you haven't meditated before.
🕒 Time: Doors open at 7:15, and we start the session at 7:30
📍 Location: We meet in the Wellington Friends Centre at the end of Moncrieff Street, up the steps and in the room to the right.
💻 Unable to join us in person? The session will also be streamed on Zoom, meeting room number 919-527-2569. There's no passcode on the room, but you will need to be signed in with a Zoom account to join the meeting.
