Build a portfolio site with Jekyll
This month we'll be hosting a workshop on how to use Jekyll, a static site generator, to build a simple portfolio site.
Read more about Jekyll here: https://jekyllrb.com/
The first half of the evening will be an intro to Jekyll and why we think it's a really cool tool to build simple sites quickly. The second half of the evening we'll get down to it and help each other setup our own sites and customise the templates and css to create something neat, so BYOD and get involved.
Jekyll is a Ruby Gem, so you'll need to have a Ruby environment setup on your machine. Don't worry if this is brand new to you, we'll be on-hand to help. Tutorials to setup your environment here: https://jekyllrb.com/docs/installation/
