Wellycon 2025

Wellycon fans, we have 2 exciting changes for Wellycon 2025. As many of you will be aware, Wellycon has traditionally been hosted over the royal birthday weekend. We like to think of King's Birthday as OUR weekend! However due to a clash, next year we're moving Wellycon to Matariki weekend, 3 weeks later. Unfortunately this decision was very much made for us, due to a scheduling conflict, but we're rolling with the punches! We'll be back to regular programming for 2026.
So, what's the second change, you ask...?

### Mark your calendars: Wellycon 2025 will be a 2 and a half day event! (Two day events are soooo 2024).

• Fri 20 Jun - Full day
• Sat 21 Jun - Full day
• Sun 22 Jun - Half day

Running from Friday, 20 June to Sunday, 22 June at Tākina Convention Centre, right in the heart of Wellington CBD. That's right, we heard a lot of feedback from attendees wanting 'just a little more time'... so we're experimenting and giving the people what they want - an extra half-day of Wellycon. That means even more time, and hopefully a little less pressure to 'squeeze in' gaming with friends, discovering new favourites, talking with designers and soaking up the awesome Wellycon vibes.
For the highly organised out of towner's who may have planned ahead already: we are SO sorry for any inconvenience/rescheduling this date change might cause. We're sending this communication out as early as we could. Hopefully this gives most of you plenty of time to plan your visit for Matariki Weekend next year.
