Wellington Software Development Group & Gitlab team / Kick-off 2023

We are pleased to announce our first event of the year in conjunction with the Devops and other Wellington devs meetups!

We have scheduled a very interesting talk about the software development lifecycle, Devops, Security and much, much more. We are privileged to have the Gitlab team visiting Wellington next week and in particular joining the event with our community.

Gitlab Session
This session will discuss the challenges in creating value streams in software development, such as siloed toolchains, lack of visibility, increased responsibility, and disconnected team knowledge. We will also explore the four main goals of digital transformations and how consolidating the toolchain can enable better insights, collaboration, and faster time-to-value in your software delivery value stream, specifically focusing on how a DevSecOps Platform can help achieve this.

Rob has extensive experience as a Consultant and Solutions Architect in Software Engineering, Cyber Security, and DevSecOps. Having worked across various industry verticals such as financial services, healthcare, and the public sector throughout the APAC region, he has gained valuable insights into best practices. Rob's expertise lies in driving digital transformations through software architecture, toolchain consolidation, agile processes, Kubernetes administration, and full-stack development. He has successfully collaborated with major cloud vendors to deliver DevSecOps processes as part of the software development lifecycle.
