Lets welcome the start of winter with a walk.

Bush-clad valleys and sweeping views over the harbour are guaranteed on this walk through beautiful Belmont Regional Park!

We’ll follow several tracks that meander past stream valleys and over ridge lines to tussock grass plains with breathtaking views. These views and the forest-clad valleys make this one of the most popular regional parks in the Greater Wellington area.

Difficulty: 6/10 strenuous walk with steepish sections

Length: Up to 4 hrs

Time: 10:30am

What to bring:

Snacks, lunch, sturdy shoes and warm clothing.

How to get there:

Drive and park your car in the carpark at the Cornish Street entrance

OR

Catch the Hutt Valley train from Wellington Station (depart 10:05am) to Petone Railway station (arrives 10:17am) and then walk (approx 10min) to the Cornish Street entrance.

OR

Catch the 83 bus.
