Field Hut Fri nite, tops day and home late Sat pm.

Takeaway dinner en route to Otaki forks. Walk in to Field hut 7-9pm ish. Saturday day walk from there, depends who comes where we go. Kime, Mt Hector or Penn creek & Vosseler spur, even Maungahuka if very keen. Back out to Otaki forks lateish Sat. Go light, no cooker, leave sleeping bag at Field. Basically a day pack plus sleeping bag plus breakfast.
You could be modest fitness as the pace to up and down from Field will be moderate, and you just stroll on the tops Saturday . Fasties can zoom around all day Saturday.
