Mitre flats daytrip

A 6 hour out and back to Mitre flats hut, from Waignawa road end (upper plains rd), Wairarapa. A straightforward ordinary tramping track, bumpy up and down sidle, no big climbs, probably wet feet.
Weather and views will be below average. Primary reason for this trip is to collect my bike from the track end.
I am totally flexible re timing and pickup places.
