Purisima Creek Trail Half Moon Bay

Join us for a stunning hike through Purisima Creek Trail. We will begin from the lower lot. Purisima Creek Trail to Craig Britton trail, Harkins Ridge trail up to Whittemore Gulch Trail and down to the parking lot.

The trail is moderate with only a short steep incline going up to Whittemore Gulch. This is a long hike approximately 8 miles, 1800 ft elevation.

This is a great time of the year to experience the trail, the leaves are changing colors, the greenery is spectacular.

We will stop for breaks, snacks and photo opportunities along the way.
Bring water, snacks and lunch to enjoy by the creek at the end of the hike.

**Parking is limited but during the week it is much easier than the weekends. **
Purisima Creek Road Parking Area (7 spaces + 1 ADA) - Purisima Creek Trailhead

• Parking is extremely limited at this location. 'No Parking' areas are strictly enforced.
• From the North: Accessible from Purisima Creek Road. From the Highway 92 and Highway 1 intersection in Half Moon Bay, travel on Highway 1 south approximately 4.3 miles. Turn left on Verde Road. After turning on to Verde Road and traveling 1/4-mile, continue straight to remain on what becomes Purisima Creek Road. (Verde Road splits off to the right.) Travel approximately 3.7 miles on Purisima Creek Road.
• From the South: Accessible from Purisima Creek Road. From the Highway 84 and Highway 1 intersection in San Gregorio, travel on Highway 1 north approximately 6.4 miles. Turn right on the third Verde Road intersection. After turning on to Verde Road and traveling 1/4-mile, continue straight to remain on what becomes Purisima Creek Road. (Verde Road splits off to the right.) Travel approximately 3.7 miles on Purisima Creek Road.
