How's Your Soul?
This workshop is for you if you suspect there might be something missing in your life. Perhaps you have a feeling of discontent or dissatisfaction? Or, maybe at times, you have noticed a sense of emptiness or discord.
We will be looking towards inner well-being. An ongoing spiritual state that can enliven our journey through life.
The leader will present helpful suggestions and ideas about:
· Quietening the natural focus on material and worldly matters that only offer uncertainty and disappointment.
· Engaging in self-observation which can result in insight and a change in what we attend to
· Attending to deeper ideas and experiences that decrease our emotional reactivity and increase our spiritual perception.
· Facing in the direction of deeper values and the needs of others.
· Learning how to disown those fleeting impulses and fantasies that obstruct the flow of what is good and true into our lives.
· Finding the divine presence of goodness within our soul.
The leader will also facilitate the sharing of information if they wish by workshop members In this way we will be working together and learning from each other.
The Workshop leader, Stephen Russell-Lacy, is a retired clinical psychologist. He will be facilitating participation by providing a focus, asking questions, setting exercises and offering for consideration some spiritual teachings for those new to the books of Emanuel Swedenborg and similar writers. Those attending will be helped to bring the ideas alive by sharing relevant personal perspectives.
