Tulip Sunday and lunch at the Botanic Gardens
Details
Celebrate Spring by spending some time in the beautiful Botanic Gardens.
At the end of September the thousands of tulips at the botanic gardens in Wellington are in full bloom. Celebrate the arrival of Spring and enjoy entertainment and delicious food, including many Dutch favourites like kroketten and rookworst provided by the Dutch Club Wellington. (Cash sales only).
We'll meet just inside the Founders Gates - that's the ornate old gates near the Soundshell. The map may point to the wrong part of the street. The gates you are looking for look like this.
I will book a table for 1pm at the lovely Picnic Cafe by the Lady Norwood Rose Garden so we can have lunch or coffee and snacks after we've had a wander around and enjoyed the tulips, the stalls and the music.
We know, from previous years hosting this event on Meetup, that we are likely to lose one or two people as we walk round. Hosts will send a message with a mobile number you can get one of us on if you do lose us, or just head for the cafe and we'll meet you there.
REMEMBER - THE CLOCKS GO FORWARD THAT DAY.
