Hi Everyone,

This is a circular walk to ascend Pen y Fan and do the horseshoe from Pont ar Daf car park. It is a fantastic day out and a Challenging Walk with 1200m of ascent and about 17km or so, in length. I am a very experienced, fully insured, professionally qualified, Summer and Winter Mountain Leader, a Brecon Beacons Ambassador and Geopark Ambassador with 30 years of local leading experience. I am a safe , trusted friendly leader and keep my group numbers to within standard professional ratios to ensure that a quality experience is delivered in a safe way. You will need to carry waterproof top and bottoms, hat, gloves, spare warm top, lunch, snacks and water.
If you bring a friend who is new to Welsh Mountain Walks then this person can attend for half price. If you want to do some navigation coaching I am also offering this. If you want to let me know in advance and I will bring a map and compass for you.

This walk can be combined with the 4 Waterfalls Walk on the Sunday to make a fantastic weekend of walking in the Brecon Beacons / Bannau Brycheiniog.
