38 mile hike, are you crazy? I’m crazy. I must be nuts for attempting this. This hike is gonna be along the stony Creek rail trail and it’ll be 38 miles boring AF. Flat boring straight.

For some inexplicable reason, I’ve always wanted to try and do this back-and-forth in a day

So it breaks down like this …or the first 22 miles on the Western side and then take a break and then do the 16 miles on the Eastern side.

The break will consist of heading to the car and reloading water and maybe eating something fairly quickly. You can change your shirt your shocks your shoes, whatever but do it quickly.

The pace will be fast at least 3 miles an hour in order to get this done edible reasonable time at the end of the day.

No pets.

You must be experienced with this kind of thing you’re gonna be putting at least several liters of water on your back in a pack, and bringing something to munch on along the way or something to eat at the break. The break will be like 10 minutes tops.

If you cannot keep up at least with this leader, we will not be waiting for you - because we will not be able to finish if we keep having to wait for you. Not being insensitive, just being realistic to the problem and challenge at hand.

It will be hot, I suggest sunscreen and bug repellent. I also suggest using a product to control chafing.(serious) because you will sweat and you will have friction in places you don’t normally have friction, and it will cause burns.

If you want, you can do the first 22 miles and call it quits.

We are starting at 6 AM
