About us

Are you an adult piano student or hobbyist? If so, you know that the piano is largely a solitary pursuit. For most of us it is a skill, and a passion, that is rarely shared with others. Would you like an opportunity to share your music and interest in playing the piano with other students? Then this group is for you! Even if you've never played in front of anyone, we're confident that you'll find this a safe and supportive experience, regardless of your skill level or your nerves. And if you're not sure whether you're ready to take the step of playing in front of others, you are welcome to join us just to listen and test the water. You decide if, when, and what to play.

Each meetup will take about an hour-and-a-half, give or take, depending on how many people show up. The general plan is to give everyone the opportunity to play once, twice, or three times if time permits. Play whatever you desire...classical, pop, jazz standard, show tune, a short piece from your adult method book, etc. You decide. You can even play and sing if you desire. It's a great opportunity to both practice your craft and to meet others with the same interest. To keep each meetup from feeling too intimidating, we are limiting the attendance to 10 pianists.

So if you're interested, please join us by signing up here or via the Kennett Square Library web page (access their online calendar and go to the date of our next scheduled event). And if you have any questions, please let me know!
