Dripping Springs Campground Overnighter

Details
Dripping Springs Campground is a wooded campground near Temecula, in the Cleveland National Forest. Nothing special, just a nice quiet campground in inland southern California. We'll head there for one night, riding from the South Perris Metrolink Station, and returning the next day.
ROUTE (See Route)
The ride is 35 miles. From the South Perris Metrolink Station, we will ride through Menifee, and then swing eastward to ride through the outskirts of Murrietta and Temecula, to get to the campground. It will be mostly paved roads. There will be some stretches of hard-packed dirt, but nothing that a road bike can't handle (but if you do have a gravel bike-- tires >1.5 inch-- take that). Halfway in the ride, we will stop at a Stater Bros Supermarket, where you can buy grocery supplies for your stay at the campground, if desired. We'll have lunch there, too. After that, we will the pass through the Temecula wine country, passing a number of vineyards before ultimately arriving at our campground.
We'll return by a slightly different route. We won't stop for a second breakfast, so have a big breakfast at the camp. We'll stop for lunch as needed.
The campground has potable water and vault toilets. No showers.
Cost is $7, which is the share of the campsite fee. Any extra will be used to pay for maintaining this Meetup account.
MEETING POINT
We will meet at the South Perris Metrolink Station at 10:30 AM. There is no Metrolink train schedule conducive for our ride, so you may have to drive there. You can park overnight at the station.
