Walk in, dance out! We love dancing. These classes are for Beginners, BRAND NEW dancers and those who already dance WCS.
West Coast Swing (WCS) seen on Tik Tok as Improv or Modern Swing, West Coast Swing (WCS) is sweeping the planet. No partner is required. Come solo or bring a friend or carload.
We offer 2 simultaneous classes @ 7:45pm EVERY Wednesday. Choose the class that works for you and come join us and learn and dance with us. 8:30om. We finish the night out by our 2 classes joining together to practice or get questions answered. These classes are both drop in classes and everyone is welcome.
7:45pm -THE BASICS & FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS with Sheila
in these classes you'll be learning your WCS Basic patterns and rhythms, and adding good dance skills to your dance tool kit to make it all work great. Here's where you get that solid start and foundation to make your dancing fun and work well. We encourage you to stay and get some time dancing and practicing after the class. No partner or experience needed here. Learn how to dance WCS, refresh your basics or learn the opposite role.
7:45pm - BEYOND THE BASICS with Rob with 3 Variation Levels Each Week. No partner needed. Must be comfortable socially dancing your Basic patterns for this one. Each week we'll focus on 1 Basic Pattern and add 3 levels of variations to the pattern. Boost your repertoire and skills here. We encourage you to stay and get some time dancing and practicing after the class. No partner required.
COST FOR EITHER CLASS: $15. Venmo preferred - pay to @robandsheiladance (last 4 numbers of phone 0778). Sheila Purkey. If you pay via CASH at the door, please come with EXACT change.
Wear comfortable clothing. Casual attire, jeans, tees all are o.k.
Shoes with a leather or plastic sole is preferable as rubber grips wooden floors (if you come with sneakers preferably the soles are worn in).
No partner or experience needed. We rotate in classes.
Lots of free parking in the shopping center. Plan to have fun.
