Head out on this 2.1-mile loop trail near Marietta, Georgia. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 50 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. This is a peaceful trail in Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. It starts from the Sope Creek Parking Area and winds its way towards Sibley Pond. The path meanders through beautiful forest and passes near Sope Creek Paper Mills Creek (an option detour). There are many intersecting paths along this route. Having a copy of the map with you is best to ensure you follow the right path. There are lots of roots and rocks on the trail.
Wear layers, bring lots of water, hiking poles if you like, a hat, etc.
