Volunteer Open House and One-Mile Hike

Get to know West Creek Conservancy and learn about our 2023 volunteer opportunities! Join us for an open house and one-mile hike at the Stearns Tree Nurse in Parma. Chat with staff about West Creek’s mission or volunteering at the nursery or various properties throughout NEOhio. There’s a lot going on during the growing season—from nursery maintenance to invasive plant pulls to plantings—and your help is greatly appreciated!

The self-guided hike follows an unimproved, mowed loop around the Nursery where you can view our new hoop house, tree growing exclosure and plant installations. Heads up: the trail can get muddy and uneven in some areas! Light refreshments will be provided.

Our volunteers help ensure that our local natural areas, open spaces, streams, and waterways are well protected. When you volunteer with us, you will get the opportunity to directly contribute to making sure these places will exist for decades to come. Our opportunities range from stream cleanings, community plantings, and more.
